Lydia Olson, PT, DPT, COMT, CDNS is a seasoned operator in the outpatient physical therapy industry with 16 years of leadership experience, including 8 years in multi-unit management roles. A 2007 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham DPT program, Lydia began her career as a practicing physical therapist in Birmingham, Alabama. She directed three de novo clinics early in her career. In one of these clinics, she partnered closely with athletic trainers at local high schools and colleges where her dedication to teamwork and patient outcomes earned her the Alabama Athletic Trainers’ Association Sports Medicine Person of the Year award in 2014.
In 2017, Lydia transitioned into a multi-site clinical quality role and then moved into operations in 2019. In these roles, she led the growth of multiple regions, expanding oversight to 33 clinics across the greater San Antonio and Austin areas by 2024. Through these experiences, she developed expertise in strategic leadership, team development, and clinical quality initiatives. Known for her approachable leadership style, strong communication, and commitment to mentorship, Lydia thrives on collaborating with teams to achieve excellence and sustainable growth. She is excited to bring this experience to her new role, partnering with the team to drive meaningful impact and continued success in the organization.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys traveling with her husband and discovering new cities on foot, taking the time to soak in the local culture and the unique rhythm of each place. On weekends, she recharges by weightlifting and running, spending quality time with her partner, and listening to audiobooks—ranging from leadership insights to suspenseful thrillers.
