Momentum’s story begins when founder and CEO, Lesha Dickerson knew she had to do more to directly impact patients in her community of Pueblo, Colorado. Her healthcare career in marketing and management earned her a reputation for always doing the right thing for her patients. But after over a decade on the administrative side, she felt the large healthcare corporations didn’t know what was happening with individual patients at the local level.

In 2010, Lesha took action. She returned to school to pursue her physical therapist assistant (PTA) degree so she could be a part of hands-on patient care.

Lesha’s strong desire to focus on patient care and helping them get better led her to search for companies with a similar passion. However, she couldn’t find any that met her level of commitment for excellent outcomes. That’s when Lesha decided to look into options for starting her own business in Pueblo. During this time, she was introduced to Health & Rehab Solutions (HRS). HRS partners with therapists to open locally-owned, community outpatient clinics. Lesha found this model improves patient health and function, leading to more fulfilling lives with exceptional care in the outpatient physical therapy setting.

In August of 2016, Momentum Physical Therapy of Pueblo opened its doors. Their reputation for results-oriented patient care led to a booming business! Just a year later, their second clinic opened in the neighboring community of Pueblo West.

Lesha credits the success of Momentum Physical Therapy in Pueblo to the amazing team of people who invest in the success and lives of their patients and the team!
